Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is an essential ingredient for skin hydration and combating the signs of aging. Naturally present in our body, about 50% of its total volume is found in the dermis, the deep layer of the skin. It works by retaining water in the skin, ensuring optimal hydration. However, its quantity decreases with age, causing skin sagging, especially after the age of 50 when it is reduced by half.
In addition to its moisturizing properties, hyaluronic acid has antioxidant effects that protect the skin from UV damage. Its molecular size plays a crucial role in how it works: at a low molecular weight, it penetrates deep into the epidermis, stimulating the natural production of hyaluronic acid and visibly reducing wrinkles, while restoring volume to the skin. At a high molecular weight, it forms a protective film on the skin's surface to prevent dehydration, making the skin instantly smoother and plumper.
Using hyaluronic acid daily helps keep skin perfectly hydrated and stronger. Essential for all skin types, it can be used at any age.
